Lakeside Estate is part of the Buenaventura Lakes area, which is one of the most established areas around Kissimmee. This area has always been popular with residents and offers a hometown atmosphere, which is reflected in the selection of holiday villas available.

Located at the eastern end of Osceola Parkway, there is a Walmart supercenter and an Aldi supermarket nearby, as well as of Publix supermarkets conveniently located at Boggy Creek, Creekside and Landstar. You will also find smaller local shops bordering these supermarkets. Although there are few restaurants in the immediate area, travel to Crosslands and The Loop on Osceola Parkway for mainstream restaurants. These include an Olive Garden, Bahama Breeze, Chilis, Outback Steakhouse, Cheddar's, Abuelo's Mexican, Hooters, BJs Brewhouse and Bonefish Grill. There is also a cinema complex, plus a selection of major stores including JC Penneys, Kohl's, Michaels, Burlington and a Nike clearance outlet.

When travelling to the attractions at Walt Disney World Resort, Osceola Parkway offers the most direct route. For Universal Studios, SeaWorld and the International Drive area, head on to Interstate 4 then north towards Orlando or via local roads from Osceola Parkway. Being located south of Orlando International airport, there are local routes which offer quick access to the SR417 toll route and Beachline Expressway SR528. This is the best route when travelling to Kennedy Space Center and Cocoa Beach. For the Gulf coast and Busch Gardens, head south on Interstate 4 towards Tampa. For Legoland Florida, head south on highway US27 at the intersection with Interstate 4.
