Thousand Oaks is a peaceful community of just over 200 houses in cul-de-sacs and bordered by woodland conversation (predominately majestic oak and pine trees) and natural lakes. Staying in Thousand Oaks will provide relaxation from the parks and shops - especially if you take time out for a woodland walk to watch the wildlife or pass time fishing in one of the lakes.
The nearest supermarket for those everyday essentials is Publix, which is located just under 2 miles away at the intersection of South Orange Blossom Trail and Ronald Reagan Parkway. There is also another Publix supermarket and 7-Eleven located a little over 2 miles away towards Reunion. Carry on towards ChampionsGate (on CR532) for more shops. If you are looking for the nearest WalMart, then this is in the other direction towards Kissimmee on highway US192 near to Medieval Times.

For Universal Studios, SeaWorld and the International Drive area, head further north on Interstate 4 towards Orlando. Orlando International airport is accessible from Interstate 4 and the Beachline Expressway SR528. This is also the route to Kennedy Space Center and Cocoa Beach.
